The BURN, Glenesk, will be holding a Macmillan coffee morning on Sunday (September 23) between 10 am and 12 noon, giving people a wonderful chance to get together with friends both old and new.
Tickets cost £2 each and all proceeds go to Macmillan, the charity dedicated to helping the lives of anyone affected by cancer.
Macmillan provide practical, medical, emotional, and financial support, while pushing for better cancer care. They help people from every walk of life, just as cancer touches everyone in one way or another.
The coffee morning will be followed by a car boot sale from 12 noon to 4 pm.
“We would be very pleased to have contributions for the bric a brac or the cake and candy stall and the raffle” said Agnes Lowden, one of the organisers.
“People are welcome to hand in their items to me at Druidsknowe, Tarfside, Glenesk, or to Bev the cook at The Burn House.
“We are also having a car boot sale at the The Burn from 12 noon until 4 pm and anyone who would like to book a stall can phone me at 01356 670242.
“Last year’s coffee morning was a great success and people were very pleased to meet each other and raise funds for such an important cause.
“So, we are looking forward to welcoming everyone on Sunday, September 23.”
Built at the end of the 18th century, The Burn is an elegant mansion set in beautiful grounds at the foot of Glenesk.
It is easy to reach through main gates on the B966, just after crossing the Gannochy bridge north of Edzell.
