Brechin and Montrose will host a number of events to celebrate the Tartan Day Scotland Festival 2013.
Tartan Day commemorates the signing of the Declaration of Arbroath on April 6, 1320 and will be celebrated throughout Angus from March 29 - April 7 with lots to look forward to in Brechin and Montrose:-
Friday, March 29 to Sunday, April 7
Agricultural exhibition at The Retreat, Glenesk.
Montrose Air Station centenary exhibition at Montrose Museum (free) from 10 a.m., to 5 p.m., (closed Monday).
Saturday, March 30
Celebrate the centenary of Montrose Air Station at Montorse Air Station Heritage Centre (free) with lots of new things to see and do open from 10 a.m., to 4 p.m.
Monday, April 1 to Sunday, April 7
Kids go free at Pictavia Visitor Centre, Brechin.
Tuesday, April 2
Anna Massie and Mairearad Green perform at the Links Hotel, Montrose (tickets £7).
Wednesday, April 3
A Tartan Journey by Angus Whitson at Montrose Museum (free) from 2.30 p.m., to 3.30 p.m.
Scottish Craft Activity and Story Afternoon at Montrose Library (free) from 2.30 p.m., to 4 p.m.
Scottish Craft Activity and Story Afternoon at Brechin Library (free) from 2.30 p.m., to 4 p.m.
