The V&A at Dundee welcomed over 200 invited guests to the Brechin Mechanics Institute on Thursday, March 14 for an evening hosted by Lady MacGregor of MacGregor, Mrs Fi Troughton , Mrs Zoe Bing and Mrs Emily Arbuthnott.
During the evening guests heard a talk from Philip Long, Director of V&A at Dundee.
The event was an awareness raising event for V&A at Dundee, reaching out to our audience in Angus and letting them know what the museum will be doing, the impact it is expected to have locally, nationally and internationally, and the role design plays in all our lives.
The new museum will enhance the cultural landscape of Scotland, show major exhibitions of design from around the world, provide a focus for our outstanding design heritage and demonstrate the excellence in contemporary design practice which abounds locally.
It will celebrate Scottish design achievements not just nationally but locally for example Harley Davidson and Aberlemno and Buick and Arbroath.
