St Andrew’s Episcopal Church will be carrying on with the Fairtrade Theme again this year at their autumn sale; serving Fairtrade coffee and sugar and ‘Guess the weight of the Fairtrade Fruit Loaf’. Brechin now has the Fairtrade City Status with new signage as you enter Brechin and a local stores are supporting the cause to help bring the poor out of poverty.
The usual produce stalls will include local venison (possibly fish) and strawberries, garden vegetables, home baking and many good prizes to be won in the Grand Raffle. There will also be a selection of toys, books and bric-a-brac. It takes place on Saturday (October 5), from 10 a.m in the City Hall.
