The annual Edzell Gardens Open Day will take place between 1 and 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 22. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the secrets of 11 hidden or private gardens in the village. Edzell Castle’s walled garden will also be open, showcasing its stone nesting boxes and summer house.
Tickets for the event, which is operated under the Scotland’s Garden Scheme, can be purchased in Edzell and cost £4. A map showing the gardens available to view will be provided when purchasing a ticket. Teas will be served at the cottage on Dalhousie Street.
All money raised from the open day is going to the Stracathro Cancer Care Fund and Scotland’s Gardens’ charities. For more information about Angus gardens opening for Scotland’s Gardens, visit www.scotlandsgardens.org.
A Craft Fair is also being held on June 22 at Inglis Memorial Hall, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., entry is free.
