COMEDIAN Daniel Sloss brings his Joker tour to Dundee Rep Theatre tonight (Wednesday, November 2) when he is supported by Kai Humphries.
The comedian, actor and writer is notable for having started stand-up comedy as a 16-year-old teenager and became established as a professional live and television performer whilst still in his teens. He was the first stand-up comedian to perform on Channel 4’s ‘Paul O’Grady Show’, the youngest comedian to perform a solo season in London’s West End and in 2010, aged 19, and was commissioned by the BBC for the sitcom pilot ‘The Adventures of Daniel’.
Born in Kingston Upon Thames he moved with his family to Fife aged four. He attended Waid Academy in Anstruther and was offered a place at the University of Dundee to study history but decided to take a gap year to see if he could make comedy work as his full time career. He has studied acting since he was eight years old, ran his own monthly comedy club at the Adam Smith Theatre in Kirkcaldy for a year and his hobbies include computer games, the TV series Robot Wars, films and football.
He is described as Scotland’s half-man-half-Xbox, hormone-ridden comic prodigy who starred in his own BBC show, along others, before he started shaving”! Ticket details from the box office on 01382 223530.
