North East Promotions is set to bring 80s legends The Blockheads to Brechin on November 21, with a gig at the City Hall.

North East Promotions helped Brechin Music Fest organisers secure S Club for this year’s event, and following the popularity of that performance they have confirmed The Blockheads for their first Brechin performance.

The Blockheads sold millions of records in their heyday in the 80s. Hits like ‘Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll’, ‘Hit me with your Rhythm Stick’, ‘What a Waste’ and ‘Reasons to be Cheerful, Part 3’ are perhaps some of their best known numbers.

The gig, which starts at 7pm, will also feature two support acts - local rockers and familiar face from the Music Fest, Ferus Cane, and Urang Matang, a Scottish four piece ban, specialising in their own blend of Ska and Reggae who also performed at this year’s Music Fest.

Tickets for the event, which are already selling well, can be purchased at and cost £22.
