THE NATIONAL Youth Orchestra of Scotland is joined by distinguished conductor Christopher Seaman and the brilliant young organist Jonathan Scott in a thrilling programme at the Caird Hall, Dundee on Friday, April 5.
The programme will showcase the hall’s famous 1923 Arthur Harrison organ. Benjamin Britten provides a whirlwind tour of the instruments of the orchestra while Judith Bingham’s dynamic concert piece “Celticity”, co-commissioned by the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Ulster, receives its first Scottish performance. The programme also features J. S. Bach’s Fantasia and Fugue in C Minor and Camille Saint-Saens’s Symphony No 3 in C Minor.
