Hillside Church, by Montrose, is hosting an evening of music with Claire Telford and Wayne Robertson on Sunday, May 12, at 7 p.m.
Claire was a Mod gold medal winner in 1994 and a Glenfiddich Fiddle Championship medal winner in 1997, as well as achieving great success in many traditional fiddle festivals across the North-East.
She is the principal teacher of violin and viola at The Yehudi Menuhin School in London and St Mary’s School of Music in Edinburgh and has performed with many major orchestras.
She has also given solo and chamber music performances for the Prince of Wales, Duke of Edinburgh and the Earl and Countess of Wessex at Buckingham Palace.
Other performances have taken her across Britain, Canada and Europe as a aoloist and as a member of the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
Accordionist Wayne has 30 years experience of his instrument, during which he was Scottish Junior Champion for four years in a row and he became a regular on the popular BBC Radio Scotland programme ‘Take the Floor’.
Together and individually they will present a varied programme with music for every taste.
