One of the most in-demand fiddle players is set to play at Fettercairn Hall in a concert hosted by local charity Angus Arts.
Patsy Reid will perform alongside numerous other musicians at the ‘Patsy Reid and Friends’ event on Saturday, September 13.
Angus Arts administrator, Sue Waddicor, explained: “We hosted a fantastic concert last year when Patsy played as part of VAMM, however she’s been touring this year as ‘Patsy Reid & Friends’. When she asked us if she could make a return visit to Angus Arts we were absolutely thrilled.
“She’s an incredibly talented musician with an extremely busy schedule, including playing on stage with Dougie MacLean at the Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony.
“She’ll be joined on stage by Matheu Watson (guitar and mandolin), Alistair Iain Paterson (piano and harmonium) and Signy Jakobsdottir (percussion).”
Patsy is also set to run two workshop sessions at the hall in the afternoon. Booking is required for the two workshops, which last an hour. Workshop tickets cost £5 for one or £8 for both. The first starts at 2.45 p.m., and is for string players at an intermediate level. The second workshop starts at 4 p.m. and is for people of all levels of experience with any instrument.
Tickets for the performance, which starts at 7.30 p.m. with doors open at 7, cost £10 for adults and £5 for children/students. For bookings and enquiries contact Angus Arts on 01561 298173/01356 670304 or email email@example.com.
