AN Arbroath singer is returning home from America to perform two gigs in her home town.
Rebecca Connelly was studying at Strathclyde University to be a geography teacher when a psychic told her her late grandfather was sending her a message to take up a career in music.
The former St Thomas Primary and Arbroath Academy pupil started gigging and won the inaugural Cliffy’s Got Talent before performing in pantomimes.
She moved to California five years ago, performing solo gigs with a variety of cover bands before forming an indie/rock/pop group called Dolalay. Rebecca is now taking the band on a tour of Scotland with the first Arbroath gig scheduled for April 13 at the Millgate Bar. The tour will close with a performance at Coast on Saturday, April 28.
