FANS of Take That are in for a treat this autumn.
Strathmore Cricket Club is bringing tribute band Take This to Forfar’s Reid Hall on Friday, October 21 – to perform all Take That’s top hits. The band will also play a sensation tribute to Westlife.
It promises to be an evening not to be missed – with the song list including It Only Takes a Minute, Could It Be Magic, Rule the World, Relight My Fire, Patience, Hold Up a Light and many more.
Take This were formed in the summer of 2009. After a few months of extensive vocal work, choreography and training, the guys hit the road in August that year performing as Scotland’s only full tribute to Take That.
They have been performing to sell out crowds from Dumfries to Aberdeen, Glasgow to Edinburgh, the North of England and Ireland including holiday parks, night clubs, radio road shows, galas, hotels, bingo halls, social clubs and theatres. Band highlights include performing at Glasgow’s huge Pride event at George Square in 2010 as well as recording the soundtracks to two educational videos for Lancashire Council.
March 2011 saw the band perform at the SECC for a crowd of thousands, before Westlife performed in the evening. Now well and truly at the top of their game, Take This provide a highly professional, slick and structured show with fantastic vocals, effortless harmonies and energetic dance routines. The evening is strictly for those aged 18 and over and the music gets underway from 8 pm on Friday, October 21.
Tickets (priced £16) are available from Strathmore Cricket Club or from The Toy Castle, Castle Street, Forfar.
