Brechin Amateur Operatic Society (BOAS) will be starting up again at the end of September and are looking for new members to join the group.

This years production will be Calamity Jane and will take place from March 5 to March 9, 2013.

The production team, the same team for the past three shows, for Calamity Jane are: producer Graeme Baird; musical director Gordon Smith; and choreographer Liz Burns-Smith.

Rehearsals start on Tuesday, September 25 in the City Hall moving to Sunday and Tuesday nights on January.

A call also goes out to all past members who took part in Calamity Jane last time round to return all libs and scores to the society for use in next year’s production.

Ali Niven said: “We are trying to save the society. In a couple of years time we will celebrate our 50th anniversary and we want to make it so we can achieve that.”

Each year BAOS produces a musical in the City Hall in Brechin.
