On Sunday (June 8) Brechin Crossroads Storytellers will be making their first public presentation at Brechin Cathedral.

The group will be portraying the birth of the early Church in words, dance and song.

This drama group is for young people of primary and secondary school age who are interested in the expressive arts.

Funded by the Church of Scotland ‘Go for It’, this pilot project is a partnership between the Cathedral, Maisondieu Primary and Brechin High School. If successful, further funding will be sought.

It is intended to let young people explore the creative arts in a whole variety of ways and to reflect on Biblical stories in a new way for the modern age.

Led by recently appointed Drama Teacher, Iryna Ewart, children can access the drama group either via the participating schools or come along to the Cathedral Hall on Tuesdays from 4.30 to 5.45 p.m.

The group is free of charge and parents may want to become involved too, in costume making or scenery building! Call Brechin Cathedral office on 01356 629360 for details.
