It may only be August but Brechin’s Combined Productions is already making preparations for this year’s Panto.

To prepare for the festive season’s production the group (a collaboration between Brechin Amateur Operatic Society and Opus Theatre Club) will be holding a workshop and auditions for this year’s show on Sunday, August 25.

The workshop, for the groups productions of Aladdin, will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, followed by auditions from 1 to 5 p.m.

The production team once again consists of the talented Graeme Baird (producer) and Ron Stewart (musical director) with the newly added Laura Ferguson (choreographer).

In previous years this team have produced funny and entertaining shows.

Throughout rehearsals and on show day the children and adults involved have thoroughly enjoyed themselves - and this year will be no different.

This year’s pantomime will take place at Brechin City Hall from at 7.30 p.m. from Wednesday, December 4 to Saturday, December 7, with a matinee on the Saturday at 2.30 p.m.

Any child wishing to take part must be 10 years old by 1st December 1, 2013.

Brechin’s Combined Productions hope to see a good turnout for Sunday, August 25.

Previous years’ productions have included Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast and Dick Whittington, to name a few.

Keep an eye out for more information about this year’s Pantomime, and for ticket information when it is available, in future editions of the Brechin Advertiser.
