James Stephen, Edzell and Andrea Watt, Inverbervie are among the chorus members of one of the North-east’s most renowned Musical Theatre companies, Aberdeen Opera Company.

They are preparing to perform the musical ‘Some Enchanted Evening’ at Arts Centre Theatre, Aberdeen, from Wednesday, February 27, to Saturday, March 2.

Directed by Wilma Gillanders MBE and musically directed by Brian Gunnee, the show is set in 1963 Britain across two acts.

Act I is behind the scenes in the rehearsal studio as cast and crew intertwine with the five principal characters and their love connections and act II is the performance on stage itself.

The famous collaboration of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein created a musical revolution in the ‘40s and ‘50s, often referred to as ‘The Golden Age’ of Broadway.

Some of the songs you may hear for the first time, some you may see in a new light, and others you may greet as favoured friends.

Tickets cost £12.50 for opening night and Saturday Matinee. All other shows cost £15 (£12.50 concessions).
