DUE TO unforeseen and unprecedented licensing issues, Forfar Dramatic Society has had to postpone their forthcoming production of ‘The Factory Girls’.

It was due to be performed from Tuesday, November 13, to Friday, November 16, in the Strathmore Cricket Club. It is hoped the production will be fitted into next year’s programme.

The society asks that anyone who holds a ticket for the show return it to the point of sale where they will be given a full refund. Members of the society are determined to take this setback in their stride and are looking to pull out all the stops to ensure the remainder of the season proceeds without a hitch.

Next on the horizon is the first Christmas show for many a year with ‘Things that go Bump in the Vine’, to be held in the Vine and Monkey.

This promises to be a scary night with a difference when a selection of ghost stories will be related. The West High Street premises, is reputedly a building that has a tarnished past. Formerly the Tollbooth, a number of the Forfar witches were held and tortured in the building.

This will be followed in February with a comedy double bill to be held in the Plough Inn, Market Street.
