Pupils set to take to the stage

The pupils at Brechin High School have been very busy over the past months preparing their latest show - ‘Disney’s The Jungle Book: Kids!’

This year there is a lot of primary involvement with the younger ones getting involved with the chorus. There will be separate performances on the night from Maisondieu Primary’s choir and orchestra.

“We have been rehearsing regularly since January with both primary and secondary pupils,” said Anna Carr-Gomm, the main musical director for the production. “We’re in our final stages of putting costumes and sets together for the big event,” she continued.

Caitlin Bishop, who plays the lead of Mowgli said: “He’s a fun character to play, he’s like a moody teen,” she exclaimed. “It’s going to be fabulous!”

Tickets are currently on sale in the office of Brechin High School at £5. The shows take place in the City Hall on Wednesday, June 18, and Thursday, June 19, starting at 7.30 p.m.
