MEMBERS of Brechin Rotary Club was absolutely delighted to be able to attend the Edzell Drama Group’s dress rehearsals at the Inglis Hall, as part of their weekly meeting.

The Rotarians were treated to two highly entertaining and humorous one-act plays, which were produced by Andy Turnbull - the hilarious “Hiccups” followed by the equally entertaining “Aberdeen Angus”.

In the week of the Royal Marriage, it was apt that the first play concerned the frantic coming and goings of an imminent wedding. Needless to say, with a pregnant bride and a mostly trouser less father - played by Andy - things didn’t go quite to plan.

The second play had an agricultural feel to it, with Angus the prize bull as the focus of attention, and various rural characters conspiring to try and put the arrogant farmer’s son in his place.

A spokesman for the Rotarians expressed thanks to the Drama Group for an excellent evening’s entertainment.
