Concert returns to raise funds for Reach Across

The annual Reach Across variety concert returned to Arbroath’s Webster Theatre recently after a two-year absence due to the Covid pandemic.

The concert was called ‘Be You’ and was well supported by the local community, with the proceeds going to The Reach Across mental Health Charity.

Among the various acts that performed were Brothock Beats drumming group, Easy Moves flashlight dance, Ben Hunter, Fleeing Fingers, Lee Pag fitness display, The Liz Lowe School of Dance, Sara Whitton and Tracy Gibson who performed a tribute to The Andrews Sisters with some nostalgic songs from the 40s, Dancemania, the Musical Theatre Group, Fraser & Erin, Campbell Robertson, 610 Dance Academy, Deepdrift and Rebecca Connelly.

For the finale, all artistsreturned to the stage with the final numbers sung by the whole cast – The Beatles’ ‘All you need is love’ and The Proclaimers’ 500 Miles’.

Reach Across was established in 2015 to provide help and support for people who are experiencing mental health issues. Its premises, ‘The Haven’, provides confidential environment for people to express their thoughts and feelings.
