Find attractions and activities throughout Angus

Local people are being urged to get out and about to discover the many attractions and experiences on their doorsteps.

The ‘My Angus’ programme of events and special offers will run from Monday, September 20 to Sunday, September 26 across the county.

The event gives local people the chance to find out about and visit various attractions, venues and experiences, with many offering exclusive discounts or added-value access throughout the week, encouraging residents to be brand ambassadors for the area they live in.

Councillor Mark Salmond, Angus Council’s communities convener, said: “After having many activities restricted for so long during the pandemic, we want to encourage residents to reconnect with their local community, to visit and find out more about all that Angus has to offer.

“This is a great opportunity for the people of Angus to visit somewhere they might not have been to before or been for a long time, and we hope to see lots of people taking advantage of the great events and offers during My Angus week.

“There’s no better person to promote a town, business or attraction than someone who lives there. It would be great if residents support and endorse local businesses and attractions in their area.”

Experiences and offers include free desserts at the Glen Clova Hotel when you buy a main meal, hands on animal experiences at Newton Farm near Forfar, guided walks at East Haven and Montrose Bay, a gin tasting experience at Caledonian Railway, and pie-making classes at Wee Cook Kitchen near Carnoustie and so much more.
